Earlier it was being speculated that the cameo was offered to the veteran actor, Shatrughan Sinha. But, according to the report, Shah Rukh Khan has now been approached to make a special appearance in the movie.
However, Tubelight was earlier in news for creative differences between the actor, Salman Khan, and director, Kabir Khan. It was heard that the two even swore to never join hands for another project. But, Kabir was quick to dismiss the rumours. It has been long time since we saw both actors together.

Last time we saw the two together on screen, the year was 2007 and the film was Om Shanti Om. Salman had made a guest appearance in the title track of the film. Then last year, Salman and SRK were seen in Bigg Boss 9. However, Tubelight will see the duo together on the big screen.

Before the big fight, the two Khans of Bollywood were seen together in Karan Arjun, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega, and some other films. If this report turns out to be true, then possibly audiences will wait for both of them to feature in a full-fledged movie too.
Tubelight is slated to release on Eid next year

SHIVAAY MOVIE REVIEW BY HT

Shivaay review

Shivaay
Cast: Ajay Devgn, Erika Kaar, Abigail Eames
Director: Ajay Devgn
Rating: 2.5/5
A bare-chested trekker is lying on top of a mountain. The white snow in the background makes us notice his prominent tattoos and still warm pipe. Panoramic aerial shots give us a tour of the beautiful place, and a question rears its head: Why didn’t they make it in 3D?
Some college students join Shivaay (Ajay Devgn) for a mountaineering mission. Olga (Erika Kaar), a Bulgarian studying at the Delhi University, is one of them. There is a spontaneous spark between Olga and Shivaay. They fall in love before the sun sets. Unfortunately, this isn’t enough to hold Olga back in India.
But, our heroes know how to preserve love for centuries. And thus after years, Shivaay decides to visit Bulgaria. Gaura (Abigail Eames), an eight-year-old girl, is accompanying him. Olga hadn’t left only Shivaay wandering in the mountains.

The new country turns out to be more mysterious than what the father-daughter duo expected. And they might not be able to untangle the web of lies and deceit coming their way.
Aseem Bajaj’s camera guides us through tunnels and snow-covered hills. With a little help from the CGI team, he successfully creates an environment where the vast canvas makes the audience anxious. Devgn escalates the excitement with a well-choreographed opening action sequence that sees him doing bungee-jumping, gliding and parachuting. The rising crescendo in the background makes him appear flamboyant, tough, skilled and intimidating.
It is also the moment when Devgn gets carried away. He doesn’t want to let go the initial momentum and keeps stretching the sequence. As a result, the film takes time in arriving to the actual plot.

After beating around the bush for many minutes, Devgn finally gathers the courage to come out of the mountains. He has already set a tone for the narrative by now. The film moves to a new location, but it needs to maintain the same attitude.
Shivaay is primarily conceived as an action film. Shiva — the destroyer is dominant than Shiva — the protector. References through names and symbols make it obvious. Plus, Devgn is really good in action sequences.
If the opening sequence brings out his athleticism, the fist-fighting in Bulgaria presents him as a vulnerable yet competitive guy.
You can occasionally be reminded of Vin Diesel’s xXx, Vertical Limit or The Dark Knight Rises, but proceedings mostly remain under Devgn’s control except when he tries to make space for emotional unfolding.
Actually, it’s such an action-dominated film that the efforts to put emotional breathers in between seem futile. After all, we all know where we are going to bump into.
Obvious things take till eternity to happen. The characters sledgehammer us with useless information. Actors like Girish Karnad and Saurabh Shukla mouth dialogues that have no or least connection with the central theme. Accommodating everyone pushes the length of the film to 173 minutes.

Ae dil hai mushkil [ADHM] movie review by HT

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil review: Ranbir-Anushka’s film is hard to relate to

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
Director: Karan Johar
Cast: Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Fawad Khan, Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan
Rating: 2.5/5
Ranbir and Anushka play the best of buddies in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
Karan Johar and his team must thank all the controversy around their film’s release for creating a huge buzz, because otherwise Ae Dil Hai Mushkil boils down to little more than a mash-up of all those clichéd dreamy films that are high on cinematography and melodrama but low on realism.

Ranbir and Anushka play the best of buddies in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil traces the life of Ayan Sayengar (Ranbir Kapoor) who is “private-jet-type” rich and is living a life dictated by others’ wishes
— pursuing an MBA as a singer cannot keep his dad’s business floating and being in ‘love’ because that’s what his mercenary girlfriend Lisa (Lisa Hayden) wants him to believe. Then arrives Alizeh (Anushka Sharma), a very sorted and mature woman who knows exactly what is wrong with her life, knows how to handle her “weakness” and how to enjoy life. She is also the one who makes Ayan become the real person that he is — one who enjoys cheap Bollywood songs, loves to sing and dances like no one is watching. We bet you haven’t seen Ranbir in anything like this before, not Rockstar and certainly not Tamasha.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is like revisiting Kuch Kuch Hota Hai with a 2016 twist — friendship and the chemistry that friends share beat love and eventually translate into that eternal love. Of course, this is 2016 and marriage isn’t the ultimate goal of love. Also, because this is a modern-day story set in London and Paris, the eternal lovers will find several other lovers before they get back. Except, instead of touching your heart with such pure humane emotions —irrational yet real, the film appears rather superficial. There are also sequences that remind you of Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and Kal Ho Na Ho.

Anushka and Ranbir in a still from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

There is this intense passion/love Alizeh nurtures for her ex-boyfriend Ali (Fawad Khan), but we do not get to see her story. Saba (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) is a divorcee poetess who meets a heart-broken Ayaan and falls in love. Shah Rukh Khan makes a small guest appearance and does what he did in Luck By Chance: impart some gyan to our hero. Only, this time it is on love and not stardom.

Johar has given major screenspace to Ranbir and Anushka and they do not disappoint. It is amazing watching their friendly banter and the fun they have. The chemistry is very organic and authentic — the one thing in the movie that feels real and will certainly remind you of your best friends. Several sequences of Ranbir are par excellence — the ones where he is either alone onscreen or with Anushka.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ranbir in a scene from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Anushka, on the other hand is impressive with her new avatar as the woman who knows exactly what she wants from each of her relationships. Fawad Khan and SRK have very little screenspace to even comment on their performances, but you get to enjoy that sexy smile and the star persona respectively in the small bits they have. Aishwarya as Saba is what you imagine Aishwarya to be — sexy, smart, independent and someone with a great sense of self-importance.
Written by Karan, the dialogues are typically KJo — very filmy and artsy at the same time. At times, they even sound like the words are an attempt to make up for the lack of feelings. There is this one sequence that I found really insulting to Fayyaz Hashmi’s ghazal ‘Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo’ because of the setting and added music.

Ranbir and Anushka in a still from Channa, a song of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

And now for those still looking for controversies: Fawad’s is an extremely small role and none of the characters claim to be Pakistani citizens, unlike earlier reports.

AMIR KHAN's Parents wanted him to be an engineer .. Here is how he came into bollywood!!!!

My family wanted me to be an engineer: Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan is without any doubt, one of the finest and sublime actors our Bollywood Industry has ever witnessed. It is he, who gave the youth of this generation a new perception towards life through his movies like ‘RANG DE BASANTI’ and ‘DIL CHAHTA HAI’.

Superstar Aamir Khan entertained the fans as a young, curious engineer in 3 Idiots but this wouldn’t have been possible, had he listened to his parents, who wanted him to pursue engineering. Aamir, son of director Tahir Hussain and nephew of filmmaker Nasir Husain, has revealed that despite being a film family, his folks were against the idea of him joining Bollywood as they found it volatile.Aamir Khan recently opened up about his childhood journey to become a superstar in a panel discussion at the 18th Jio MAMI Mumbai International Film Festival. It was surprising for the participants as well as for the listeners to digest the fact the fact that Aamir Khan who is the son of great Bollywood director Tahir Hussain and nephew of filmmaker Nasir Husain, was once asked to stay away from the Bollywood.

“At that time almost everyone felt, film industry was not a good place to be. My own family, Nasir sahab (Nasir Hussain) and papa jaan were telling me, ‘No. Don’t go in films’. Both filmmakers were telling me not to go in films.

Aamir Khan revealed that despite being from a film family, his folks were against the idea of him joining Bollywood as they found it volatile. His father, being a filmmaker himself was asking him to not to join Bollywood. Quite strange.
His uncle, father and mother considered the film making profession as a very volatile profession where in one instance you could be flying up with the stardom while within a blink of an eye you could be crashing down on your face on the very next moment. His parents wanted him to pursue something more stable like engineering or doctor or chartered accountant.
Aamir Khan was quick to admit that he wouldn’t have managed to do any of these things other than film making. But his parents didn’t want him to go through the uncertainties and the traumas of the volatile business of film making. However, he listened to his passion and pursued a course at Film and Television Institute of India (FTII).

Aamir recalled he shot for a 40-minute short film called “Paranoia” directed by Aditya Bhattacharya, after he passed out of 10th.It was a silent film made by his classmate, who asked him to feature in it as an actor, assistant director, spot boy, and the experience of doing that film made him interested in filmmaking.
Throughout his life, he was very conscious of certain things. He made sure that his uncle and his father would never feel the responsibility to launch him in Bollywood like how many actors are nowadays doing. He never wanted to be a burden for them. He did various short films but without coming into the notice of his family members.
It is always important for us to pursue our dreams and passion no matter how hard and difficult are the circumstances. At the end of the day, nothing beats the satisfaction of following your dreams.
